Is there a specific Post processor for Plasma cutting using Fusion 360? Also, What is the process for uploading the Masso Post Processor? I have downloaded it, but I can't seem to get Fusion 360 to recognize it.

There are a couple ways to add post processors to Fusion 360. I prefer the cloud based version since I can access it from multiple computers. Check out these articles from AutoDesk for answers to that question.

@cncburn

Did you ever work out the Fusion Post Processor for Plasma?

I too use Fusion, I do have SheetCam but would prefer to go directly from Fusion if possible.

I am attempting to learn how Masso handles (now I believe more appropriate is Post Processor) the initial Z Zero for THC post-processors as @breezy and @ross have been gracious in attempting to assist in my learning deficit!

Thanks in advance

Hello Everybody.

This is how I do mine! Their might be an easier way though.

Drawing parts for Cutting: Sketchup export DXF > Sheetcam.

Down loading DXF from net: CorelDraw fix nods and other things then export as DXF > Sheetcam.

Down loading picture from net: Adobe Illustrator to trace image and produce a DXF > CorelDraw fix nods and other things then export as DXF > Sheetcam.

I think Sheetcam is the way to go, Quick and simple!

From Ross.

I'm not a plasma user, but I have to say that Sheetcam is easiest to use for 2D work.

I've been using Fusion for about 5 years now and it is best for "Mechanical" 3D work. Have started using Sheetcam for sheet work.

Vectric range of products is good for "Carving" 3D work.

Regards,

Arie.

Lacee,

Sorry for the delay. Computer issues... I did get my Fusion 360 post working reasonably well. I have not used it in a while. I purchased Sheetcam and threw all my efforts into the post there. If you would like a copy of my latest version, I can post it for you, just let me know.

@cncburn

thank you for the offer to share your Fusion360 Post Processor script.

i would also appreciate any info/tips/traps you would be with share regarding the use of Sheetcam.

i am just now starting to look into it at some detail. Do I understand you correctly that your using a Sheetcam post processor script. May I ask which specific one. Sorry I am not well versed to ask a very intelligent question.

Let me know how best to receive the post processing script and if there is anyway I can return the favor.

Regards

Lacee

I do. This is the last version of the plasma post that I was using. I switched entirely to Sheetcam; so I have not used it in over a year. It was working reasonably well for me. Good luck!
