Power and Common

Hi everyone



Quick question. I used an old 5V phone charger as a power supply for my homing signals, and got no response from the Masso controller (HIGH/LOW) tell-tale. As soon as i give the homing signals power directly from the MASSO controller, then i get a response. Is it because the old phone charger puts out only 1 amp?

Also, there seems to be only 1 "common" terminal on the MASSO, which is the negative on the power supply. Can i use the "GND" on the SERIAL terminal block as a common as well??

have you connected the -ve of the 5v phone charger and the -ve of MASSO power supply together? if not then you will need to do this.

Hi, yes, i did do this. My LED light of the proximity switches do come on, but no luck on the screen.

when the sensor is connected to MASSO input can you please measure the voltage on the sensor output.

Have you had a think about my question regarding the "common" terminal on the Controller?
