SheetCAM Post Processor

I recently purchased SheetCAM with the Rotary Pipe Cutting plugin. I tried to download the Masso post processor to load into SheetCAM but the link on your website opened as a webpage script. I copied the script thinking I could save it as a file format that SheetCAM could read but none of the file formats I tried worked. How do I load the post processor in SheetCAM? Also, does the post processors available support 4-axis plasma cutting?

Thank you everyone. That did the trick.

The next thing I want to figure out is running a 4-axis code for plasma cutting a rectangular tube. I used SheetCAM to generate code to cut a tube part but there is nothing giving instructions to move the A-axis. Is there a Masso post processor that supports 4th axis plasma cutting?

Jamfab,

I think sheetcam is only 2.5D CAM software, that is my experience with it.

You will need to go to full 3D CAM. There are plenty out, I use Fusion 360 which is a CAD/CAM program.

Have a look at CNCCookbook site for a list of CAM software.

Derek,

Thanks for the video, learn something new every day, but as I said my experience has been 2.5D only.

Also he said in the video that when cutting at 45* it may pay to draw in 3D and unwrap in CAD, if you are going to do that, why not generate your Gcode in a CAD/CAM package?

Jamfab,

In answer to your question the PostProcessors available in MASSO documentation are not for rotary work. You'll need to get a copy Mach3 Rotary and edit it to suit MASSO G & M code.

Regards,

Arie.

You can place it were you like on your computer, if not here is the place in SheetCam.
