Software Update Question

I just noticed in the documentation (under software updates) that it says:

"NOTE: Make sure that there is nothing connected on the PlayStation connector on the MASSO"

Is this only for the first update, or every update?

If every update - then why would this action be needed?

no, this is not required in every updated but as we dont know what update you had before you install a certain update, its good to remove anything on the PS2 connector just to be sure.
