If the encoder is connected to the spindle in 1:1 then simply go to the F1-Setup screen and under Spindle enter 100 in Encoder (Pulses per revolution)

Can a slotted type disk be used as an encoder?

thanks

Hi

Is there a limit how many PPR can be handled by the MASSO controller?

Thank you

about 100 PPR is good, else more PPR will just add to the system load.

slotted type disk setup can be used but the signal output has to be Quadrature.

Silly suggestion for quadrature pulsed encoder.

Many Flowmeters, (oval gear) use QP Output for custody transfer of fuels. pick up is a simple embedded magnet, simple 2 screw mounted ~50~65mm PCB, DC powered. The pulse count is quite high and pick distance is several mm through aluminium or S/S meter body (Iexpect open air would be further)

Manufacturers in Australia, there is Flomec in Sydney, Trimec Flow Products in Melbourne, Macnaught in Sydney.
