Spindle speed is still accelerating while plunging

Hi,

Is there a setting in masso to start a job where the spindle will reach it's set speed first before the z plunges?

You can either edit your post processor to add a: G04 + a P value in milliseconds after each M3 command .. or you can just add it manually yourself after posting.

(G04P30000) would tell the controller to Dwell for 3 seconds before moving to the the X,Y,Z coordinates called out as the first move ..

@eondodge in the F1 screen, please goto Spindle settings and you will find Spindle UP delay and DOWN delay settings, here you can enter the delay time. After this MASSO will start the spindle and wait for the time you entered before doing further moves.

This setting takes effect for non-interrupted job. Once I stop in the mid of the job and reposition the X,Y,Z then I rerun, Z will plunge again while the spindle is still accelerating unless I rehome again. Hope you can resolve this on the next patch.

so you run a job, press feedhold at some point, what do you do next, do you stop the spindle?

can you provide each step in detail so that we can replicate it on our end.

I was running a cutting job and then I stopped through emergency stop button. Adjusted the settings on vcarve, (pass depth) and changed the Z-zero. Reran the same file and the Z-travel would just plunge not waiting for the spindle to have enough acceleration before doing so. It is suppose to wait until the spindle is ready (standby for 2 seconds) before plunging.

Spindle Up-delay -2000

Spindle Down-delay - 2000

will you be able create some instructions (that can be repeated a number of times to create the same issue) so that we can follow to replicate the issue and check.
