Spindle wiring help

I have no experience with this unit however for what it's worth.

Look at the video on the linked site ( or here
) between 2min 30sec and 3min 00sec you will see a connection (black and white wires) between a small daughter board on the main motor controller board and what looks like a Mach3 interface board. It appears that the Mach3 board outputs analog 0-10v.

Will any of these help?

The black and white wire is going to an c11 board which is not needed with Masso. So I'm lost here.

Not sure what wires to hook up to Masso.

Set the jumper to 0-10v

Then on CN17, wire the GND to MASSO power supply negative and wire the Input to Pin: 1 of the Spindle connector on MASSO

Set the jumper to 0-10v

Then on CN17, wire the GND to MASSO power supply negative and wire the Input to Pin: 1 of the Spindle connector on MASSO

This will be running PWM correct?

And I will have to jump CN12 to activate the PWM.

Thank you for all the help I'm pretty new at this.

@musso with the above instructions that we gave you, its 0-10v control and not VFD. In MASSO spindle settings please select VFD control.

OK guys now I know this is a stupid question but here it goes.

what G-code do I use to test the spindle?

I guess more specific how to get spindle to turn on.

Do I need to create G-code for this.

Like I said I am very new to the G-code stuff and CNC in general

And just to make sure I use VFD control in masso correct.

Here is the complete PDF on the driver

Again thank you guys so very much for the help.

You can just give a simple MDI command:
  1. make sure that first there are no alarms flashing on the screen.
  2. goto F2 screen and click the MDI button on the lower right of the screen.
  3. Now enter M3 S500 and press enter. This should start the spindle, please note that the S value is the RPM and will depend on your setup.
  4. Giving M5 command will stop the spindle.

I have tested for 0-10v @ pin 1 on spindle control M3 S1000 I get 1.72V but no movement of spindle.

And 6000 I get 10.06V at masso but no spindle movement.
