I have an occasional problem and I am not sure where the source lies. Sometimes, during linking moves (rapid movement) one or more of my axes will stall. I am running stepper motors but the way they are currently set up is at least %30 lower than what they are capable of. I can rapid the machine back and forth all day, and all other rapid movements in my programs never cause an issue, but linking moves specifically have caused my steppers to stall. The only way I have been able to fix this is to have Fusion 360 output rapid movements as feedrate moves and use an extremely low feedrate (like 15 ipm). For reference, the axes are currently set to a max of 80 ipm but can easily go upwards of 120 without stalling or losing steps. I run programs where my cutting feedrate is upwards of 40 ipm, but then a 20 ipm linking move stalls the axis. Has anyone else run into an issue like this?
