Stepper motor

Hi Guys,

can any body tell me please what the specs on the sticker of this motor mean please. (sorry its upside-down, lol)

reason I ask is it seems to be running damn hot, I know they can run hot but this one is toasty.

I have the resistor set for a 5 amp motor as that was my guess. As its a 60 frame size motor its listed as a nema 24. I can find specs for a nema 23 that say that motor is 5 amps so thats why I am thinking its 5A.

thanks

As an after thought, does running slightly higher or lower rated resistors than suggested keep the motors cooler.

thanks again

When the motor isn't turning all that power going into the motor to hold it in position has to go somewhere. The only place it can go is to convert it to heat.

Is there a setting on the driver for holding torque percent? I have to turn my steppers to 50% to keep them from cooking.
