Sticky Relays

I am using two Masso relay cards for my milling machine controls. One of the relays stays stuck once actuated. Any suggestions on how to properly correct this issue?

@testyourdesign - that sounds more like welded contacts (probably high in-rush current).

What were you controlling with that particular relay? Sounds like an electric motor.

You might be able to pick up a replacement relay from Jaycar (specs are identical, don't know about dimensions / pin-out).

Was not running high load. It simply turns on the 24V DC 5W green LED light on the light tower. Right now it's stuck in the ON position which is annoying but not a major issue. I want to know if @masso-support has a suggestion on how to fix it or if I should file a warranty claim since the product is less than 12 months old.

Hi Stephen,

With a low current non inductive load the contacts should not have welded together.
I assume that the contacts are permanently stuck together when the relay is not powered.
Could you send an email to Support and if you could add a photo showing the problem with the relay contacts that would be good.
