Strange issue (for me)

Just started replacing the guts on the old Multicam. The orginal X motor is connected to the Gecko GR214V Driver and to the Masso G3. When i access the F1 menu (settings), I can not change anything while the motor is connected to the Masso. In fact it will lock up the Masso settings menu where I have to remove the battery in order to access that menu again. I tried to reinstall version 4.01, etc. Again the motor will jog forward and back. I just cant make changes to it. I hope I explained this right. Thanks!

What you are describing sound like you are not login into the Admin user when you enter the F1 screen.
Are you seeing a flashing message in the lower left corner of the F1 screen?

There is no need to remove the battery to restore a locked up MASSO, a simple reboot will fix it. The battery maintains the volatile config memory during power down.

If this is not the case please make a video of the problem you are having explaining in detail what you are doing and what is happening.

That exactly sounds like it. Yes the message is blinking on the lower left. However, I do not see the password pop-up screen. If I hit F1 again while on that screen, still no password pop up box. What am I doing wrong? Sorry...new here. Thanks! -Matt

Did you read the page I linked to?

From that page.

INFORMATION: If want to lock Masso to prevent unauthorized use, Press CTRL + L and you will be prompted to re-enter the User and Admin Passwords.

Also changing to another screen then back to F1 should popup Password box, once logged in it won't appear again for the current power up cycle, so you change change between screen to adjust and test.

Thanks! And I did read that. It did help some, but when I go to another page via >mouse click or >f keys, and then back to F1 or mouse click, I do not get the password pop up. However, when I >ctrl-L and log in to Masso and then >F1, I get the popup, to log in to settings, with no blinking cursor in the password box. As soon as I move the mouse to click in the password box, so I can type, the box disappears again. Besides F1, are there any key combinations to brink that password box back to the front? I am not sure how this OS works, but it almost seems like it is moving back a layer. Thanks again!

You said that you went back to v4.01, so from that can I assume that you have a copy of the beta v4.02.34b software. If so load that.
Now when you select F1 on the keyboard, the cursor will be in the password box and you can type the password straight away NO need to move the mouse.
Once you have logged in as admin user, you are logged in for the rest of the session, so no password box will appear when you switch back & forth between F1 and any other screen. The flashing message also disappears.
There is one other thing you may have done, at some stage with your attempts to login is accidently changed the password to blank, in which case you don't have to type anything just clicking in the password box will close it and you will be logged in as admin.

If this doesn't work, then make a video of it failing, so we can work out is going wrong.
