THC highjacked from Masso.

Well, I finally got my THC to work with a Masso G2 controller.

Used the original one purchased as I didn't want to blow up another G3.

I got it to work, but had to hi-jack the Masso Z step / direction signals and put them through the THC step pulsar board.

This all worked fine, great actually.

But lost the F2 screen readings in THC mode.

Fitted the Up / Down THC wires to the Masso inputs as F1 screen.

Used the M667 command.

As on a common axis, position readings along with Z height are all on the screen.

It became quite simple, but simple takes time.

Cheers.

The cut in the photo is good.

5.0Coyote.

Yes a lot of work over the years.

From yesterday getting it finally working, to production cuts today.

The video shows the sensitivity of the Z axis, 5mm per rotation.

2nd one of the screenshot on F2 screen, working with the M667 command.

I still have to work out the relationship of the M667 F30 to the Step Pulsar board speed to give an accurate read on the F1 screen.

Cheers.

Then a photo of the cut 2400mm long plate.

New small condensed box, just wired today.

When it works, it works so well.

Just another day in paradise, isolation.

Cheers.

Started back a while ago testing stuff.

By taking away the Z commands from Masso was the best choice made.

Even though now I can see some light without negative triggering the inputs for Up / Down signals.

It should work true within Masso ????

The best thing about this little board, it gives two axis to work with.

I had to manipulate the Masso control to get some desired results.

So much about any simple Up / Down signals should work that they said.

If it wasn't for the years spent before, working with Masso is such a dud.

Great control, but it seriously lacks something.

I would have never achieved the point I'm at now if I hadn't taken the last 20 years to understand.

Not much more simple than this 2 axis step pulsar board.

Cheers,

Dingo Ears,

Masso's lack of response to your threads and THC in general is mind boggling and when they do it's a generic snippet. Yet they continue to market their products for Plasma use. They have no speed over ride or height adjustments tools on the screen. The cheap Chinese controllers that cost less than 1/2 of Masso have all of these feature plus an editable basic shape library. All of these real time controls are necessary if you plan on making a living with your system.

Keep up the great work mate!
