Tool Library Not Accepting Values

Hello all,

I have been running into wall after wall with my bridgeport masso conversion but i have most of the kinks worked out. my next wall is that the tool library will not accept values when they are entered. i can double click on a tool number such as tool 1 that is a 4 flute 1 inch endmill and the value i entered is there as well as the description of the tool offset but the value does not show up on the main F4 page. All the tools say 0.000 inches not length and diameter. i have tried running a g code file and the tool compensation does not work. Also when i enter the value and click enter the dialog box does not go away and wont save. Any help with this? I'm assuming its a software issue.

Thanks in advance

There were some memory issues with early versions of the tool list but these have long been fixed. Tool compensation has not been implemented yet so thats why its not working. Can you please clarify which software version you are running and upload a photo showing your problem so we can try to understand what you are experiencing?

Here are some pictures of the version and the tool library page. When I enter the values for the tool and click save nothing happens but cancel works. However the work offset tab works.

@mattacook544 whats your controller's serial number? firstly let's get you the latest v3.42 but this looks more like some memory issue.

If you try to save the work offsets, are you able to same some value? also try to power off the controller after saving a value and that it shows up after power cycle.

In the F1 screen, what type of tool changer do you have selected?

I got the masso updated to the latest version (3.42) but i am still having trouble getting the tools to save in the library. I can enter the info and click save but it does not populate on the screen. The F3 screen does however recognize tool info. The tool changer is manual.

Were you able to resolve this issue? Not being able to enter tool length data is very unusual. You might need to send an email and have them open a ticket to get that one resolved.
