Tool orientation support in the MASSO Post Processor

Hi All, i am using Fusion 360 to generate my tool paths and lately i run into situations where i have to cut a part from both sides. Fusion CAM supports a setting called 'tool orientation' where you can override the Z axis setting from the setup. This is useful because i can then use rest machining. Unfortunately the MASSO post does not support this. I get around this by creating a new setup in Fusion CAM with the desired upside down Z-axis. But with this i cannot use rest machining and the tool path will cut a lot of air eating a lot of time. Did anyone else run into this and maybe find a solution? Is there anything i can do myself? I am a software guy and might be able to make a change to the PP with some help.

thanks,

Joachim

Is it possible to find help in the Autodesk forums. I use Fusion - still learning my way through it - and have found great support from their experts.

"Tool orientation" is only needed if you have more than 3 axis. Just create a new setup for each side you want to machine and under "Setup -> Stock" select "From preceding setup" and check "Continue Rest Machining".
