I have a tool setter block setup and currently use an alligator clip for the grounding. I have noticed in Peter's video that the grounding is done through the CNC frame, eliminating the need to remember to connect the alligator clip on the spindle cutter and the dragging of a cable on the deck. For this to work, power needs to pass through the spindle bearings to the cutter. Can power passing through the bearings cause pitting of the bearings or are the voltages and amps too low to cause damage? Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue before I eliminate the alligator clip grounding?
