Resolved the touch plate issue

Hi Ray,

From your description it almost sounds like you have your touchplate is connected to the postive of the power supply without a resistor and the grounded tools is shorting out your power supply.

Could you double check the wiring of the touch offplate / input please and make sure there is a resistor in circuit and what value it is.
