Upgrade questions

I have two questions:

first, specific to the newest upgrade (3.47), is the Wi-Fi performance improved? I m only able to get a stable connection when my laptop is within a couple feet of the antenna.

second, more generally: when running an update can I just save the configuration file to the usb stick in the F1 screen, then load that back in after the upgrade?

I ask because the 3.47 upgrade email says that some of the configuration changes might be reverted to the factory defaults after the upgrade.

Hi Perry

The update fixed a problem with Masso losing connectivity. It does not increase range but you should have better coverage than a couple of feet.

When running an update it depends on whether the settings format changes or not as to whether you can load back the previous version.
In this case you will not be able to. I would take screen prints of the various settings pages and you will be able to look at them on a PC or print them out if you need to check a setting.

Going forward after this update you will have the Print settings option which will allow you to print a readable version of the settings file.
This video may help.

Cheers

Thanks. I've seen the video, which is why I thought I might be able to save the settings to the USB stick and then reload them. I'll print screens instead.

Wifi connectivity is my issue. The laptop is normally about 8 feet from the Masso controller, on my workbench, and when I get a signal, it's fine. But in order to reliably get a signal with 3.46, I have to get the laptop right next to the controller. Without doing that, probably 60-70% of my uploads fail midway through. If I'm close, they're fine. So it sounds like this will address my issue.

Thanks!
