I have a question there are 2 USB ports 1 keyboard 1 for the thumb drive

question are the USB ports all the same so if my controller is located in a box

I could run just 1 USB cable out to a hub. connect the mouse the keyboard and a thumb drive to the 1 cable using the hub

this way I will only need a monitor and 1 usb cable. or do I need a separate one for the keyboard?

second were does one get a play station with a DB9 they are all usb now ..

is there a way to add a joystick to the DB9 to jog with and not use the play station

I can run my keyboard with the built in USB hub. The keyboard USB ports will work the USB stick and it runs fine.

I also run the keyboard and use a USB extension cable to the USB stick from the second port.

As for the PS2 controller, I modified an old one with the diagrams on the website. I have not got it to work with the current beta software yet but.

Thanks for the input Patchlead.
  1. Yes USB will work in any combination and you can run a single cable from the controller to a USB hub outside. Please note here that for doing software updates on MASSO, you will need to plug the USB pen drive with the software files directly to the MASSO on the pen drive USB port.
  2. Regarding PS2, from MASSO Software Update v3.29.2a PlayStation controller might not work due to an issue so maybe for the time being you can hold this.

Is this still true, even if you use an - active - USB hub?

Yes, for all software updates the pen drive has to always be connected directly to the MASSO pend drive port, this is due to software design limitation.

Is there anyway to get a game controller with joystick working for axis jogging on the latest firmware? Or any joystick option? I feel like that would be far easier than the jog wheel one axis at a time.
