User push buttons

Lathe - With resent failure of getting touch screen to work (at considerable expense) I am looking to add remote switches on the operator console for:

• Cycle Start
  
• Feed hold/Cycle stop (Esc)
  
• Spindle stop
  
• Spindle start
  
• Jog (nice to have so the pendant becomes live)
  

These are very common actions for lathe operations as one stops to check size, clear chips and add cutting oil.

The first two are easy in the F1 screen. The others not so.

Any work around known of to do this?

Hey @westyone yup,the first two things are easy and I'm thinking you should be able to wire the spindle vfd for start and stop functions. I'm not sure what you want to do with the pendant though

Yes @evermech a switch disabling the VFD "Run" authorization could work. Once it was armed again the VFD should respond to Masso 10v speed single.

I would also add buttons for homing, coolant on, and coolant off. I have been using those remote switches for the last couple years and it makes it much easier to control the machine.
