Hello Masso family,

I just update to version 3.36 and ran a part. It worked perfectly. I am very pleased that they fixed the small movements with the code look ahead bug fix. Great job masso team!

However I went to run the same program again and everything froze.

I restarted masso and loaded the same program. Everything works on the masso until the program loads 100% then everything freezes. Now I can t run any program.

I tried to go back to version 3.35 but it froze as well. I reloaded 3.36 back on and nothing works. I am stumped. It was working fun and now it isn t. I have also tried different programs and different post processors in fusion 360. Anyone else having this issue? I have a job that needs done for a customer and I am stuck. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you all!

Hi @bjengle, firstly if you run into an issue please don't reload the software as it's not required as when the software is loaded to MASSO the software is checked in the memory and reloading the software won't make any difference.

So firstly I would suggest you to please load v3.36 to the unit, next can you please share your MASSO settings file from F1 screen and your gcode file then we can have a look as to why this issues is coming.

@ljs66bug whats your controller number please.

when you goto the F1 screen, select the relay output and press the space key, does it switch on the relay and does it change the status on the screen?

thanks for the files and we have been running the files a few tims on our controller and its working fine. Can you please do a dry run of the same file with spindle switched off so that you can check if its not an electrical noise issue.

I tested loading the program with the spindle off and even disconnected from the power source. The masso still freezes up after the program is loaded at 100%

Should I try disconnecting the mouse and using the masso like the old way with just the keyboard? Could that be why it is freezing? I noticed before everything freezes about 10 seconds before the mouse freezes on the screen.

@ljs66bug whats your controllers serial number please, can't find your forum user name in MASSO serial numbers. Can you please just share the screenshot of the F1 screen as we need to see some other info too.

what MDI commands are you giving?, we will try the same ones.

@ljs66bug, just ran your gcode file with your MASSO settings and as per your gcode file the the spindle signal worked fine, with right RPM and the coolant also turned on.

I think its something to do with the core update, once we have your screenshot of the F1 image then we can check further.

what we are finding that its some mix of usb hubs and mouse/keyboard etc. We are adding some more logging to the MASSO so that USB communication can be logged and then will be able to log data from the MASSO to see why this issues is happening.

Will be releasing a new MASSO update with more logging and then it will be much easy to resolve the issue.

Ok I will try a different mouse and usb hub and see if that works. Any information as to when this update for logging will be coming through? Thanks!
