VFD - E006 ERROR

Hi all

I have just managed, with MASSO's help to get my spindle running with my VFD. I have set up all my parameters as per my spindle nameplate.

My problem is that the spindle runs for about 5 seconds, and then cuts out and an error flashes up on the VFD screen. Anyone else come across this. I've set my VFD up as per the maximum setting of the nameplate. You will notice there is 3 settings for some strange reason.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The manual of VFD says max 600Hz. Did you set it to 800Hz according to the maximum setting on nameplate?

Hi @jolbas

Well there you go. I didn't even think of that. Yes, i did set it to 800Hz, because the chinese sold the machine to me as a 24000rpm machine.

I'll confirm tonight what those parameters are set to.

Cheers.

Hi all

Ok, i set up the VFD to run middle of the nameplate settings, and still same E006 error.

Let me further explain the scenario:

I seem to have a very subtle interference on the monitor when the machine is on and just sitting in idle mode. When i turn the spindle on the interference is worse. I then turn the spindle on to S3000, M3 for example and the spindle turns on and runs for a about 10 seconds, before VFD trips out and we have error E006. When this happens the KEYBOARD that is connected to the MASSO controller also seems to stop working.

At one stage the MASSO came up wit the error: USB keyboard port on the MASSO has stopped working.

I then turn the machine off, and restart. At this stage everything is normal, bar the subtle interference on the screen. If i run the spindle at S1000 only, the E006 error does not appear and the spindle keeps spinning without the E006 error appearing. Funny thing is though, after about the 10 second mark, the KEYBOARD stops working.

HHEEEELLLLLPPPP PLEASE.

The error indicates something is wrong with the parameters settings. Can you post settings changed by you?

Doesn't explain why the USB port for the keyboard stops working.....

I'm busy compiling a list of all the parameter settings at the moment, plus some photos of my wiring, @eti, so will post up here soon. Maybe someone can see something i don't.

As a test can you please just do a dry run without running the spindle, it looks like the electrical noise from the VFD is causing interference. Is the VFD and its wiring away from MASSO and USB wires?

The VFD and the Masso are behind each other in the same cabinet, seperated by a powder coated steel sheet. The wiring running from the VFD to MASSO is NOT shielded.

no need to disconnect any wires, just don't switch on the VFD.

I don't have a switch on my VFD, it's hard-wired in with everything else.

@masso-support, @eti, @jolbas

I will take photos tonight of my wiring, and i'll also ad another breaker on my VFD, in order to turn it on/off seperately.
  1. I seem to have fried another keyboard, don't know what is going on here??
  2. Please find attached the following: PDF of my VFD manual, PARAMETERS OF VFD AS CURRENTLY SETUP, and also a video i found on youtube of a fella that setup up his spindle and my EXACT VFD, but he set it up with MACH3.....

I didn t understand the error first. I first read at page 97 where fault code 6 was Parameter Change Invalid but now I read under fault dignostics that it is over current during running . Have you walked through the fault possibilities and advices on page 76?

Does it work properly if disconnecded from Masso and F0.01 and F0.03 is set to 0 (keyboard control)? If not you shold get it working without Masso first.

It actually was still cutting out with E006 when i was running it freelance(not connected to MASSO). I'm totally lost and frustrated....., gggrrrrrrrr. Did you watch the youtube link i posted before?

My main concern is that i don't know what parameters F1.06 through to F1.10 should be...

Did you read section 4.5 in manual? Page 21.

Yes, but look at the pic attached. I'm pretty sure this vfd is a 200 series, which means this "auto tune" won't work on this vfd......

Do you have a picture of the nameplate of the Vfd with full model number and more?

Yep, this is the number on the nameplate: VFD: FULING INVERTER DZB312B007.5L2DK.

In saying this, i found this on aliexpress when searching for a manual ages ago, pic attached.
