VGA cable ground and Masso common

Hello Masso community,

I have recently realised that the VGA cable ground pin (AC earth) connects MASSO common of power supply together. I have been having problems with the Gecko g540 A Axis intermittently grumbling along and sometimes moving in one direction only. eventually leading to damaged A axis drive and repaired motherboard. Is it possible that gecko common and AC earth tied together are causing issues? The MASSO and gecko are on separate power supplies 12 and 24 volt.

Have you connected the negatives of both 12 and 24v power supplies together? because if they are not connected together, you can have some differences in potential voltages and different ground loops.
