I resolved this issue by reinstalling Masso Link Ver 2.11
Everything worked with this installation, I had to give up the App on the phone, but 5.100B beta liked it better.

MASSO Link v2.12 is for use with MASSO 5.07 software only at this time.
V5.06 and v.5.100b came out before the MASSO Phone app was released so have to use MASSO Link 2.11.

FWIW, you can install both versions of Masso Link and open the one that corresponds to the software version that you’re controller is running. This is what I do when I switch back and forth between 5.07 and 5.100b.

For what it's worth, I also had trouble getting this to work initially. The problem that I was running into was that on the Masso, it would connect to my network, but it wouldn't assign an IP address. This was only after updating to 5.06. The weird thing was that the phone app DID see the Masso, but I couldn't connect to Masso from my PC, even using Masso Link 2.12.

The fix was to manually assign the same IP addresses that would be assigned in the prior firmware. Once I did that, everything connected.

I ALWAYS had connectivity issues with 2.11, to the point of it being utterly unreliable and I almost always just ran back an forth with a USB stick out of frustration. Since the update, it's been 100% rock solid.

So.... I hate to sound loke a broken record, but.....

Brand new 1F Foreman Elite. Masso works well except the WiFi. The Masso end goes through the process with lightning speed. I gave it my network name and password and it connected just like in the video. It goes through the connecting, IP address, etc. then says it is connected. I then completed the install by going to the Masso site to download 2.12, that was successful. I set up the files as directed. However, after installing 2.12 following all directions on the Masso site and on youtube it all seems great up until the flash / pop up screen that says "connecting"...... but it it has never connected. I have rebooted all machines to no avail, I looked at the cell phone app, the phone app sees the Masso but says it is offline. I checked the wifi antenna connection. it is fine. Everything looks good but it does not work. I am open to any suggestions beyond just resigning myself to use the thumb drive.

What version of software are you running on the Touch?
INFORMATION: myWORKSHOP PRO is only available for MASSO G3 and MASSO G3 Touch controllers running software version 5.07 and above.
v5.100b is not included in the above statement.

Well, the devil is in the details as they say. 5.06 would be the answer. So, I see a download link on the Masso site but is seems to be for the beta test version. is there a link to actual release non beta 5.07 somewhere?

Update:
Everything is up and working. It was a medusa not just a one headed viper.
Problems:
"My workshop" would not connect. it showed my machine but is indicated "offline" while the machine was running., The MassoLink app would not connect.

1) Brand new Masso had V5.07, I thought. When someone here suggested I check the version, it was 5.06. Downloaded and upgraded to V5.07 still not working. Masso link would not connect to machine. Machine was connected to "My Workshop" but was "offline"; as expected I could not wifi transfer g code. My Masso not using the resident wifi network would not connect either.

2) in the trouble shooting process I discovered that the Windows 11 firewall was not allowing Masso in. There was a flash screen asking if I wanted to allow Masso during the app install process. I indicated yes I wanted it to be allowed but learned the setting was not changed. Masso was added to the watchlist of apps in the Widows system but the boxes to allow access were not checked. Manually going into Windows and changing the security settings allowed some connectivity between Masso link and my CNC but it still was not working correctly.

3) the WiFi network I used had a base router and an extension point. I have several devices that connected preferentially to the extension point. All of them work well but not the Masso. The Masso would show connected to the Wifi just fine but would not connect to Masso web site. I know, what is up with that? I unplugged the extension router and the Masso connected. When I powered down the Masso, plugged in the extension and turned the machine on it would not connect. Unplugged the extension, exited the WiFi on the Masso and then tried to reconnect and it did so, very quickly. I stopped being lazy and moved the main router to a central location in my home and removed the extension point altogether. Now everything connects. Now I can monitor my machine but, I had a timeout error on file transfer. That part was still not working

4) I was using an empty flash drive with 64MB of space. I formatted the drive. installed Masso link as directed and no go. It would get to 24% of the file transferred and time out. The error stated "Masso not responding". I had a newer flash drive, also empty, with 128MB of space. It has better file transfer rates per the product info than the first one I had. The files transferred successfully. I am in the hunt for a faster drive as even the newer one is a year or two old. It takes about 4 minutes to transfer 8MB of G code.

So, now it all works. I hope this helps someone with a similar problem.

Your tenacity is admirable!

Glad to hear you got it working—I’m sure your post will help the other folks having problems, especially the part about the WiFi extenders.
