X and Y Zero Probing

On all my machines, Tormach and a Mach 4 CNC mill, I have the ability to Zero my X and Y by a button that sends the machines probing in the X and Y directions until the tool comes in contact with a touch plate of some sorts then calculates the zero point based on current tool diameter and sets the X/Y Zero. Very Very useful in re-zeroing a part after it has been flipped or moved.

Yes we are also working on simple and intuitive probing cycles including finding edges, top of surfaces and centre of holes.

Yep I support simple and intuitive probing cycles including a button for Z tool zero setting no matter the X & Y position.

i.e touch plate thickness variable setting (10mm) retract variable(20mm) hit probe Z button, z probes down touches retracts DRO sets to 30mm

I use a Drewtronics probe that allows for Multi-Axis Probing. Probing is pretty much a standard setup operation these days. I up-vote this feature also.

This is the one thing keeping me from buying this controller. Hole center finding would be great also. I have a corner finder with a hole in it, that I use for finding the X_Y and same plate for Z. Do you have a time frame for getting this update released? I was just about to purchase a different controller and software, but if it is coming out soon, I will wait. You have a great looking product. Just needs a few quality of life additions.

We have a few other updates in the pipeline and only then we can start working on this, sorry but don't have fixed dates at this stage.

Perfectly understandable. I read you are about to start working backlash comp. That is wonderful news. You have a good looking product. I will for sure be buying in the near future, in the hopes that the creature comforts, like what this thread wants, will be implemented in the near future. Keep up the good work, and thank you for the reply.

Just a friendly bump to keep this request active. This feature and the backlash comp would be the icing on an already great cake.

Really, really looking forward to this update. X and Y zero probing is a must have on CNC controllers.

Any anticipated date for delivery of this please. I'm coming from a MAch3 setup and this was a key element for me obtaining accuracy. Im not keen to take a step backwards.

Cheers
