From your photo I can see that you are running v3.47.4 Sherline mill version.
Now if I have it correct on the Sherline Mill the table moves in relation to the spindle, so a positive X move, moves the table to the left and a positive Y move, moves the table towards you. If that is not happening then the MCS zero point is set incorrectly, when the table is fully to the right and back then the MCS should be reading zero for X & Y, which is what the MASSO display shows.
There have been two updates since v3.47.4 was released on 9th June 2020.
v3.48 - 2nd Oct 2020.
v3.49 - 29th Jan 2021 and beta release v3.49.07b 22nd July 2021.

From the v3.48 release notes you can see that the probing routine was rewritten.
