Z Axis Alarm

Hi

I am having a problem with my Z axis. When Homing the Z axis will move about 3 mm then stops. Then Warning Z axis limit comes on. Still about 100 mm away from the sensor. What can be wrong .

Hi Leon,

If you are getting a limit alarm then you are running into the Z axis soft limit.
The first step in setting up homing is to give yourself some large limits so you do not get the problem that you are experiencing.
Have a look here on setting up homing on MASSO.

Hi Peter.

I am new at this. On my input Input 10 it says Z- Home sensor input ( High ). This stay on High even when i use the screwdriver trick.

On F3 it flashes Homing Error on the top bar .The other two bars is white

Hi Leon,

If your proximity sensors are not changing state when you trigger them then most likely you have them wired incorrectly.
